Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School has demonstrated its success in raising quality standards in education through accreditation by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK).
At a ceremony held in the GAÜN Senate Meeting Room, GAÜN Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Mesut Doğan and MEDEK Board of Directors Chair Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık presented the accreditation certificates to Oğuzeli Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin and the department chairs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Doğan noted that GAÜN is continuously advancing the quality of education as a concrete demonstration of its achievements on the path to academic excellence, stating, “Our university is raising educational quality standards to the highest level to better prepare our students for the international business world,” he said.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, Chairman of the MEDEK Board of Directors, noted that GAÜN’s emphasis on quality processes enhances the global competitiveness of its graduates, stating, “This success of the Oğuzeli Vocational School is a result of the university’s quality-focused vision. I congratulate all academic and administrative staff who contributed to the accreditation process,” he said.
The accreditation, which covers the Occupational Health and Safety and Logistics programs, will be valid from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
