To train intermediate-level Occupational Health and Safety technicians who occupy a position between senior management and workers/technicians in the workplace, possessing more theoretical knowledge than a technician, more practical skills than an engineer, and general knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
Within the framework of European Union harmonization laws, the “Regulation on the Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities of Engineers or Technical Personnel Responsible for Occupational Safety, and the Procedures and Principles of Their Work,” published by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, mandates the employment of engineers and technical personnel responsible for occupational safety in workplaces.
Graduates of this program will be able to ensure workplace safety, manage occupational health and safety records, filing, and monitoring systems, follow and implement legal procedures related to all disaster-based emergencies, provide consulting services regarding communication and organization with professional emergency response organizations and local neighbors—primarily within the workplace—and conduct risk analyses, proposal of solutions, and associated planning and budgeting; equipped with knowledge of environmental safety planning and management; and capable of providing consulting services regarding communication and organization with professional emergency response organizations and neighboring communities, primarily within the workplace.
Graduates can work as “Occupational Health and Safety Technicians” in all institutions, organizations, and businesses, including commercial centers, high-rise buildings, universities and campus-style schools, shopping malls, and public facilities, as well as in fire departments, civil defense, and similar emergency response organizations. Additionally, upon passing the “Occupational Safety Expertise” exam administered by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, they can obtain a “Class C Occupational Safety Expert Certificate.” The Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, which entered into force on June 20, 2012, provides significant employment opportunities for program graduates.
Our graduates from the program: have the opportunity to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs in emergency aid and disaster management, labor economics and industrial relations, public relations and advertising, public relations and promotion, economics, business administration, public administration, finance, political science and public administration, social work, international relations, and tourism management through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

Our goal is to cultivate technicians and vocational specialists who are research-oriented, innovative, responsible, proactive, entrepreneurial, team-oriented, successful in social and cultural spheres, and possess a leadership spirit.
