General Information

The objective of the Private Security and Protection program is to train mid-level personnel for the Turkish economy and security sector and to produce professionals with specialized expertise. Within the framework of these objectives, the program aims to equip students with the ability to develop solutions to security challenges. Students wishing to enroll in the program must complete the processes established by the Higher Education Council (ÖSYM) and pass the required exams in accordance with the university’s academic and legal regulations. A student who has begun their studies in an equivalent program, either domestically or abroad, may apply for a lateral transfer. More detailed information regarding university admission is available in the Institutional Brochure. Compliance with conditions 217 and 218, as specified in the “Conditions and Explanations of Higher Education Programs” section of the ÖSYM Preferences Guide, is required. These conditions are listed below. 217: To meet the conditions specified in subparagraphs (d), (e), and (f) of Article 10 of the “Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services” and in Article 18 of the “Regulation on the Implementation of the Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services.” These conditions are listed below. Graduates may work in private security units established within public institutions and organizations, as armed personal bodyguards, or in private security companies; specifically, in the security service areas provided by these companies (such as public institutions and organizations, shopping centers, banks, train stations, airports, terminals, transportation systems like trams, and events such as meetings, concerts, sports matches, and stage performances, as well as factories). Graduates of the program have the opportunity to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs in emergency aid and disaster management, labor economics and industrial relations, public relations and advertising, public relations and promotion, economics, business administration, public administration, finance, political science and public administration,  social work, international relations, and tourism management.
