General Information

The objective of the Accounting and Taxation Program is to train accounting professionals to work in the accounting departments of private-sector companies and public institutions and organizations. During the two-year Accounting and Tax Applications program, students are primarily taught general accounting and required general education courses in the first year, and specialized accounting courses in the second year. Computer-based accounting software is also demonstrated through practical applications. To this end, a computer lab is available where each student has access to one computer. Graduates of the program work as assistant staff in offices of Certified Public Accountants, Certified Public Accountants and Tax Advisors, and Certified Public Accountants, as well as in banks, insurance companies, and tourism, construction, and industrial enterprises as accounting staff. At the end of the fourth semester, students can transfer to university departments such as Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, International Finance, International Business, and Labor Economics through the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam).
