To be a pioneering and respected educational program in the fields of civil defense, fire safety, and disaster management that has achieved national and international standards of educational quality and integrates modern technology and innovative response techniques into its curriculum, while promoting disaster awareness and safety within the community.
To train firefighters who can respond quickly, effectively, and using scientific methods to natural disasters, fires, and all types of emergencies; proficient in search-and-rescue techniques; respectful of professional ethics and social values; physically and mentally well-prepared; and capable of managing disaster and emergency risks.
Graduates earn the title of “Civil Defense and Firefighting Technician.”
Applicants holding a high school diploma who demonstrate a certain level of success in the central exams administered by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) or in international exams recognized by the Higher Education Council, are placed based on their preferences and ranking. Candidates who have earned the right to enroll must complete their final registration with the documents specified by the university within the announced timeframe. Candidates who fail to complete their final registration within the specified timeframe lose their right to enroll.
Additionally, for enrollment, candidates must obtain a medical board report from a fully equipped public hospital certifying that they have no physical or mental disabilities that would prevent them from practicing this profession, and candidates must have no criminal record.
