Graduates of the Correctional and Security Services Program will receive the title of “Correctional and Security Officer.” Developed to meet the need for qualified personnel in the field of Correctional and Security Services, the objective of this associate degree program is to bring the knowledge and skill levels of professionals—who play a role in the reintegration of detainees and inmates housed in correctional facilities and juvenile detention centers into society, and who are responsible for the supervision and monitoring of inmates in probation offices—up to global standards. Graduates of this program, who will be given priority in civil service recruitment exams conducted by the Ministry of Justice, will also be able to serve as private security specialists in both the public and private sectors—specialists capable of applying their foundational knowledge to practical situations. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs in Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Public Administration, Political Science and Public Administration, and Social Work through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
