STUDENTS SHOW STRONG INTEREST IN JOB SEARCH SKILLS SEMINAR

 

Students at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School (MYO) showed great interest in the seminar, which was held with the participation of Hande Berhumoğlu, Human Resources Manager at SANKO Holding.

Organized by the GAÜN Career Center and held in the Oğuzeli Vocational School Seminar Hall, the event provided students with information on effective job search skills, resume preparation, interview techniques, body language, and effective communication methods. The seminar provided important insights into the skills necessary for success in the business world, while emphasizing the importance of body language and effective communication methods during job interviews. Hande Berhumoğlu shared key points to consider when preparing a resume and tips for success during the interview process.

Noting that competition in today’s business world is steadily increasing, Dr. Derya Çevik Taşdemir, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Property Protection and Security Department at GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, emphasized that graduating students must be well-equipped to stand out in this competitive environment.Dr. Taşdemir stated, “In the job search process, simply possessing professional knowledge and skills is not enough. Being able to express yourself effectively and make a strong impression during job interviews is also crucial. Topics such as crafting an effective resume, using the right interview techniques, body language, and communication methods are critical elements that will ensure your success in the job search process. The opportunity for Hande Berhumoğlu, Human Resources Manager at SANKO Holding, to share her knowledge and experience is extremely valuable for our students. “Our students gained important insights on how to overcome the challenges they may face during the job search process and how to present themselves in the best possible light,” she said.
