In collaboration between Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School and the Gaziantep Branch of the Turkish Red Crescent, and as part of the Social Awareness Projects (TDP) course, the “Give Blood, Give Life” seminar was held in the Conference Hall of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School.
Speaking at the event, organized under the coordination of GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School Lecturer Ayşe Çoban and Assistant Professor Derya Çevik Taşdemir, Turkish Red Crescent Oğuzeli Organizer İsmet Küçük emphasized the social importance of blood donation, stated that every individual should donate blood regularly to encourage blood donation in society and ensure people help one another in times of emergency.
Oktay Gündüz, Blood Donor Recruitment Specialist at the Gaziantep Branch, emphasized that donating blood is of great importance in protecting and strengthening public health. He noted that in addition to the positive health effects of regular blood donation, noted that various health issues can be detected at an early stage through the analysis of donated blood.
Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin, Director of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, noted that they place great importance on such campaigns and expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the “Give Blood, Give Life” event organized under the TDP.
