GRADUATION CELEBRATIONS AT OĞUZELİ VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

The graduates of the 2021-2022 academic year from the Oğuzeli Vocational School of Gaziantep University (GAÜN) were joyfully honored at a graduation ceremony.

Speaking at the opening of the graduation ceremony held at the Oğuzeli Municipality Conference Hall, School Director Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin stated that he shared in the joy and happiness of all the graduating students and their families, who take pride in their achievements. Continuing his speech, Prof. Dr. Şahin said, “You have successfully completed a challenging educational process. You will take on responsibilities and duties toward yourselves, your families, your country, and all of humanity. May your path from here on out be illuminated by the light of conscience and science. An honest, hardworking, and productive person is a treasure. Atatürk said, ‘We need nothing, we need only one thing: to be hardworking.’ I wish you health, peace, happiness, and success in your future lives. May your path and fortune be bright.”

“Beginnings are beautiful; endings are difficult because a part of you remains behind,” said Oğuzeli Mayor Mehmet Sait Kılıç, adding, “Life is like that—it begins in one place and ends in another. Where it ends, new beginnings start. You, too, have made a new beginning here, and I’m sure you’re leaving with fond memories. You have responsibilities toward our country, your families, and the professors who have graduated you. I congratulate our graduating students, our esteemed professors, and your families, who have always supported you,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Mert Aslan, the top graduate of the college, expressed his pride in graduating from Gaziantep University’s Oğuzeli Vocational School and said: “Today, the diplomas we’ve earned also entrust us with very important responsibilities. Whatever work we do for our country and all of humanity under the sun, we will strive to do our very best,” he said.

Following the speeches, diplomas and awards were presented to the top-ranking students and graduates. The ceremony concluded with the students tossing their caps into the air with great enthusiasm.
