Students in the Social Security Program of the Property Protection and Security Department at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School organized a technical field trip to the Gaziantep Social Security Institution (SGK) under the coordination of Assistant Professor Bülent Demirağ.
During the event organized by the Gaziantep SGK Provincial Directorate, Ahmet Par, Deputy Provincial Director of Social Security, held an informational session for the students on the Social Security System, social security legislation, and the operation of the agency’s services. To observe the service units located at the Provincial Directorate firsthand, the students toured the relevant service units under the coordination of Assistant Professor Bülent Demirağ and agency officials. The students received information from service staff about the units and were briefed on topics of key importance in the social security system, such as job descriptions, operational procedures, retirement, disability benefits, and general health insurance.
College Director Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin emphasized the importance of such activities in helping students complete their education in harmony with the field and expressed his gratitude to Provincial Social Security Director Mehmet Uzun and Deputy Provincial Social Security Director Ahmet Par.
