Gaziantep University (GAÜN) hosted the “New Economy and Trade 4.0” conference at the Oğuzeli Vocational School. Hale Kirişçi, an expert in foreign trade who participated as a speaker at the conference, discussed her professional experience from her time as an export specialist as well as the role of trade in the digital age, and also provided information about digital applications at Acun Media Academy.
In her speech, Hale Kirişçi stated, “The economy, transformed by Industry 4.0, has increased individuals’ efforts to establish a presence on social media, commerce has concentrated in this area, and, of course, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, online commerce has reached very high trade volumes,” and concluded her speech by informing the young attendees about digital applications.
Speaking at the end of the program, Oğuzeli Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin noted that the world is undergoing a major transformation process and that individuals’ adaptation to this process is crucial; he thanked Hale Kirişçi for sharing her professional experience and insights on today’s digital applications.
