An event was held at the Oğuzeli Vocational School of Gaziantep University (GAÜN) as part of the Career Days Program, with the participation of teachers and students from the Oğuzeli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Assistant Director of the Vocational School, Lecturer Dr. Orhan Ecemiş, emphasized the importance of career choice—a turning point in students’ lives—and stressed that it is crucial for students to choose a career based on their interests and abilities. In the second part of the program, faculty members from Oğuzeli Vocational College presented the Justice, Correctional Services, Accounting, Social Security, Civil Defense, and Firefighting, Private Security, Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, Logistics, and Computer Technologies, and provided information on the skills required for these professions, the work environment and conditions, and career advancement opportunities.
At the end of the program, the School Director, Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin, emphasized the importance of such vocational orientation and career programs for students making their educational choices, and expressed his pleasure at hosting Ahmet Şimşek, Vice Principal of Oğuzeli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Psychological Counselor Büşra Emeksiz, Psychological Counselor Muhittin Şahin, and their students.
