Students at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School demonstrated exemplary social awareness as part of the “Blood Donation Saves Lives. Donate Blood for a Healthy Society” project.
As part of the Social Awareness Project coordinated by GAÜN Lecturer Dr. Rüstem Kocaöz and Lecturer Ayşe Çoban, Ömer Şimşek, a Blood Donor Recruitment Specialist at the Turkish Red Crescent, gave a seminar to the students on the importance of blood and stem cell donation.
Following the seminar, students showed great interest in the organized blood and stem cell donation campaign. The project coordinators emphasized the importance of promoting voluntary donation and raising public awareness.
In her remarks on the subject, Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkci, Director of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, emphasized the importance of raising students with a sense of social responsibility and thanked the faculty members, students, and Red Crescent officials who contributed to the project. Direkci stated that they would continue to support projects that benefit the community.
