Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School held its Academic Council Meeting for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Oğuzeli Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkçi expressed her hope that the new academic year would be fruitful for both academic and administrative staff as well as students, and emphasized the importance of vocational education. Direkçi provided information on the academic work being carried out at the college, activities aimed at improving the physical infrastructure, and projects that will contribute to regional development.
The meeting addressed educational planning for the 2026–2027 academic year, curriculum updates, and ways to increase the efficiency of hands-on training processes. In addition, strategies for improving the quality of education, accreditation processes, and department-specific academic goals were evaluated.
Student-centered approaches were also on the agenda; the meeting featured an exchange of views on increasing student satisfaction, developing social and cultural activities, improving internship opportunities, and conducting career planning processes more effectively.
The meeting, during which department chairs and faculty members expressed their views, suggestions, and requests, concluded following mutual evaluations.
