Students in the Private Security and Protection Program at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School received practical shooting training under the coordination of Instructor Zeki Sunar.
Conducted in collaboration between the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School and the Private Security Branch of the Gaziantep Provincial Police Department, under a protocol established with the Private Security Inspection Directorate of the General Directorate of Security, the training served as the practical component of the theoretical firearms course. Twenty-four students participated in the training.
Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkçi, Director of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, noted that the practical firearms training—now in its fifth year—is important for students to gain hands-on experience in professional applications. Prof. Dr. Direkçi highlighted the necessity of fieldwork for developing students’ professional competencies and emphasized the contribution of inter-institutional cooperation to the education of young people through this practical training, which is held regularly every year. Prof. Dr. Direkçi stated that, as with all its programs, Oğuzeli Vocational School will continue to implement practices that enhance efficiency and productivity in the Private Security and Protection Program as well.
