Social Security Information Session at Oğuzeli Vocational School

Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School (MYO) Department of Property Protection and Security organized an informational event on the “Social Security Institution” for students in the Social Security Program as part of the Social Awareness Projects (TDP).

Speaking at the opening of the event, Dr. Ayça Özceylan, an instructor at the Oğuzeli MYO, noted that the Social Security Program is a field that is gaining increasing importance in Turkey and stated that practical activities such as this event make a significant contribution to the students’ education.

Associate Professor Dr. Bülent Demirağ, who participated as a speaker at the event, provided information on current developments and key issues in the field of social security. Students were briefed on critical services provided by the Social Security Institution, such as public relations, counseling, short-term insurance branches, benefits allocation, insured registration, service consolidation, borrowing, and workplace registration.

Project coordinator Lecturer Dr. Ayça Özceylan emphasized that such events enable students to keep up with innovations in the sector and build their careers on a solid foundation. Assistant Professor Dr. Merve Kaplan, meanwhile, noted that reinforcing theoretical knowledge with practical application is of great importance from an educational perspective.

Speaking about the event, Oğuzeli Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkçi highlighted the importance of these activities in contributing to students’ professional development and thanked everyone involved.
