A SEMINAR ON COMBATING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN WAS HELD AT OĞUZELİ VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

In collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Center for Research and Application on Women’s Issues (GÜKAMER), the “Modular Seminar Program on a Life Free from Violence Against Women” was organized as part of the 5th National Action Plan to Combat Violence Against Women.

Held at the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School Conference Hall, the seminar addressed important topics such as the different types of violence against women, the psychological and social effects of violence, the importance of early awareness, reporting mechanisms, and the development of healthy communication skills.

Psychologist Ayşe Pulat Bozkurt, Specialist Psychologist Ayşegül Kurt, and Clinical Psychologist Nursena Keskin from the Women’s Services Unit of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, who served as speakers at the program, were thanked for their participation.

Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkci, Director of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, stated in her closing remarks at the end of the seminar, “Education and social awareness play a major role in building a violence-free society. As an institution, we will continue to support such initiatives aimed at raising awareness among our youth and the broader community on this issue.”
