As part of the Social Awareness Project carried out by the Oğuzeli Vocational School (MYO) of Gaziantep University (GAÜN), middle school students were educated on occupational health and safety through a project titled “My School Is Safe.”
Coordinated by Oğuzeli MYO instructors Ziya Ersoy and Abdülkadir Fıstıkçıoğlu, the project brought together students from the Occupational Health and Safety Program and students from the Oğuzeli Residential Regional Middle School. During the program, Lecturer Ziya Ersoy provided training to the students on occupational health and safety.
The training addressed hazardous situations students might encounter in their daily lives and explained the precautions needed to prevent such incidents. Additionally, occupational health and safety signs prepared by the students were presented, and their meanings were explained.
Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkci, Director of the Oğuzeli Vocational School, emphasized that they place great importance on educational and informational activities and stressed that such events, which contribute to the students’ professional development, will continue.
