"The 'My Future in a Career' Program Organized at Oğuzeli Vocational School"

Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School (MYO) organized the “İŞKUR My Future in a Career Program” for its senior students. 

The program, organized by GAÜN Lecturer Dr. Ali Balkan, was held in the Oğuzeli MYO Conference Hall.

As part of the program, a presentation was given by Mehmet Akoğlu, a trainer and career counselor at the İŞKUR Gaziantep Provincial Directorate. Students were introduced to the İŞKUR e-branch application, and the process of registering for the e-branch, searching for public and private sector job postings, and applying for jobs was explained. Students who requested it were registered for the e-branch application. In the second part of the event, information was provided on topics such as the job application process, awareness in social interactions, job search channels, interview techniques, employer expectations, resume preparation, and body language.

Speaking at the event, Lecturer Dr. Ali Balkan stated that the purpose of the event was to contribute to increasing final-year students’ awareness of employment processes and to equip them with knowledge, skills, work habits, and discipline.

Oğuzeli Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkçi, in her remarks, said, “Preparing our students for the workforce is our top priority. I would like to thank Mehmet Akoğlu and the officials at the İŞKUR Gaziantep Provincial Directorate for their contributions to this priority.”
