Second-year students from the Computer Programming Program at the Oğuzeli Vocational School of Gaziantep University (GAÜN) took a technical field trip to the Information Technology Directorate at Gaziantep University.
Organized under the coordination of Lecturer Büşra Söylemez, the visit included an informative presentation for the students by Celal Dikici, Director of the GAÜN Information Processing Department. The presentation covered fundamental topics such as the operating principles of servers, the setup of server rooms, the hardware and devices used, as well as the importance of system security and data backup.
The program continued with an active Q&A session involving the students, and following the presentation, the students had the opportunity to inspect the server room on-site to reinforce their theoretical knowledge. By gaining the chance to observe a real-world system infrastructure up close, the students enhanced their professional knowledge and awareness.
At the conclusion of the event, Oğuzeli MYO Director Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkçi stated in her remarks that such hands-on activities hold great importance for the school’s development.
