SECTOR-FOCUSED TRAINING FOR LOGISTICS STUDENTS AT GAÜN OĞUZELİ VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

A comprehensive training session on “Applications in Project Logistics” was held for students in the Logistics Program at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School, coordinated by Lecturer Dr. Ayşe Nur Mercan. Logistics Business Development Specialist Yusuf Kazcı participated as a speaker.

The training covered the basic concepts, importance, and implementation processes of project logistics.

Yusuf Kazcı shared his industry experience with the logistics program students and offered advice. Kazcı provided information on the role of logistics in large-scale projects and the management of planning, transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and coordination phases. He also emphasized critical elements in project logistics, such as risk management, scheduling, and cost control.

At the conclusion of the session, which was followed with great interest by students in the Logistics Department, Lecturer Dr. Ayşe Nur Mercan stated, “Project logistics is a complex process that requires a high degree of coordination. Raising our students’ awareness in this area will enable them to make a difference in the projects they will be involved in the future. Through such training programs, we aim to provide the industry with better-prepared graduates.”

Prof. Dr. Tuba Direkci, Director of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, noted that the logistics sector is one of the most strategic fields of the future. Noting that success in the sector is only possible through continuous learning, planning, and a willingness to embrace innovation, Prof. Dr. Direkci advised young people to develop strong skills in logistics and gain a thorough understanding of the sector’s dynamics. She also stated that they will continue to increase the number and scope of such events in the coming period.
