
Students in the Private Security and Protection Program at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Oğuzeli Vocational School received shooting training as part of the “Firearms Knowledge” course under a protocol signed with the Private Security Inspection Directorate of the General Directorate of Security.
Organized under the coordination of Zeki Sunar, an instructor at the Oğuzeli Vocational School, and in collaboration with the Private Security Branch of the Gaziantep Provincial Police Department, the practical shooting training was conducted with the participation of 19 students. Following the shooting training, students will be eligible to take the Firearms Knowledge and Shooting Training exam. Students who successfully complete the exam will earn the right to graduate with the title of Armed Private Security Officer.
Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin, Director of the GAÜN Oğuzeli Vocational School, noted in his assessment of the matter that this practical training was held for the fourth time this year and emphasized the importance of students gaining hands-on experience in applying their professional knowledge in the field. Prof. Dr. Şahin stated that inter-institutional collaboration makes a significant contribution to student development and noted that activities and practical training aimed at enhancing professional competencies within the Private Security and Protection Program will continue to increase in the coming period.
