The Academic Council Meeting of the Oğuzeli Vocational School at Gaziantep University (GAÜN) was held with the participation of GAÜN Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Mesut Doğan. The meeting addressed the university’s current status, future goals, and the vocational school’s educational activities.
Speaking at the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Doğan expressed his pleasure at being at the Oğuzeli Vocational School, stating, “Our vocational schools are one of the cornerstones of our university. We must work together to make these institutions more effective and productive.”

Noting that universities must keep pace with the changing and evolving conditions of the world, Doğan said, “With a new-generation university philosophy, we must act with a more dynamic and innovative approach. We aim to build a university that enhances scientific productivity, contributes to society, and possesses strong international competitiveness,” he said.

Noting that they aim to raise quality standards in education, Rector Doğan stated, “Quality processes play a major role in our university’s institutional development. For this reason, strengthening quality assurance systems in every area and expanding these efforts are among our priorities.”
“DEVELOP PROJECTS, GENERATE IDEAS”
Calling on faculty members to develop projects, Rector Doğan said, “One of the primary duties of universities is to generate knowledge. We expect our faculty members to produce more projects in the areas of R&D and social contribution. We must promote a culture of project-based work to ensure that academic expertise is reflected in real-world applications.”

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Memet Şahin, Director of the Oğuzeli Vocational School, also provided information about the school’s educational programs, technical infrastructure, and the opportunities offered to students.
Following the meeting, GAÜN Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Mesut Doğan met with Oğuzeli Vocational School students to listen to their views, requests, and suggestions.
